Wireless transmission is the technology that deals with communication between various media via electromagnetic waves or light, e.g. antennae, microwave, electromagnetic wave evaluation, wireless communication in remotes islands, satellite communication, and designing for Base Transceiver Station. Pagers, CDMA, PCS, microwave, broadcasting, TRS all use this high tech technology, and GS Neotek is proud of its solid experience and know-how in this field.

Especially, from 1997, three PCS(Personal Communication Service) operators started to build up their nationwide network. And as a contractor to LG Telecom, we constructed the network throughout the nation in a limited period of time from cell-planning to BTS(Base Transceiver Station) construction.

PCS Project
As SK Telecom¡¯s long-term project, the PCS project commercialized the CDMA mode of PCS mobile communication for the first time based on experiences of building AMPS/CDMA, a nationwide analog mobile communication system. From the starting stage of LG Telecom¡¯s business, we executed a full range of activities such as site survey, design, development, testing, and opening, and also provided mobile communication network technology in areas where regular network development is difficult, such as mountains, remote areas, national parks, and broad underground spaces. Through this, they have realized a mobile communication network suitable for Korea¡¯s geography, contributing to the expansion of mobile communication service coverage. In addition, in a timely manner, diverse base station systems and relay devices were developed in step with technological development, thereby going beyond meeting customer demands for quality. We will go beyond the development of 2G/3G nationwide networks into the next generation mobile communication IMT-Advanced (4G), and with our specialized technology, we will provide services developing the best comprehensive communication infrastructure with top quality and customer satisfaction.
 
Gyeongbu High Speed Railway, Wireless Train System Project
This project provided TRS communication service to command communication between KTX and the control room, transmission of high speed train status information, allowing for safe operation of the Gyeongbu High Speed Railway to engineers, attendants, station center, and maintenance workers. This system uses an 800MHz band of digital TRS technology to transmit voice and various data real-time. Over the entire high speed railway zone of Goyang terminal to Daegu, including the 57 km test track of Cheonan~Maepo, we have built wireless railway base stations, aerial network infrastructure, relay devices, tunnel relay, in-tunnel cable antenna infrastructure, and an integrated control center, and were selected as a recommended quality infrastructure development company by the High Speed Railway Corporation. The automatic digital TRS network development project for the Gyeongbu High Speed Railway¡¯s wireless system is based on experiences from developing nationwide network infrastructures of TRS businesses over the years, and is an outstanding project that blossomed on the Gyeongbu High Speed Railway, which demanded a high level of security and reliability.
 
Digital Micro Wave System Development Project
This project converted the nationwide Analog Micro Wave System used as the Army¡¯s communication network into a Digital Micro Wave System, and is linked to the ATM-based defense network. It modernizes and digitalizes the nationwide army communication network. We have built the ideal defense communication network based on experience and know-how accumulated from development of Korea Telecom¡¯s remote wireless system and broadcasting/communication ,micro wave system, and we continue today to contribute to the modernization of the defense network.
