The 1999 3rd quarter joint labor-management conference was held last October 20th at the head office. Han Jong Sung, head of the labor union, declared his devotion for a brighter future, labor-management relations, faith in fellow workers. Discussions were held concerning controversial problems such as tension among divisions, creating familiarity among the business sector and its supporting counterpart, reassignment of returning overseas workers, and so forth. A heart-touching note to this conference - contributions were collected for funds to benefit Oh Il Chun of the transmission construction team, who is suffering from a brain tumor, and for his colleague Lee Dong Young, whose child has a rare cartilege disease.
