LG TEK received the 'Excellency Award' in the small and middle sized business division at the 12th Excellent Workplace Awards presented by the Korean Management Association . LG TEK's labor and management, through trust and cooperation, have been true partners in making LG TEK the "small but strong" company that it is. This is proved by the 3 year succession in receiving 1st place in the telecommunication operation evaluation and other awards. LG TEK's harmonious labor/management relations have already been acknowledged by being presented with Industry Peace Tower's Gold Tower Trophy on Labor Day in May, 1997. President Young Ha Park and Labor Union leader Jong Sung Han was presented with the award and trophy by Chairman Chang Sung Kim at the ceremony held on February 24th at the Hotel Westin-Chosun. The Excellent Workplace Award has been presented for the improvement of labor and management relations since 1989.
