LG TEK's International Business and Transmission/Supply divisions have worked together and succeeded in obtaining transmission line installation order from Sri Lanka. Offered by Sri Lanka Electrics in late September of 1999, LG TEK was selected from tough competition last February 15th. The project consists of the installation of 220KV transmission lines from the Kotugoda district to the Veyangoda district, and will take approximately 2 years to complete. Diverting from LG TEK's international business strategy based on telecommunnication line installation, this project has broadened the possibilities of future overseas projects in the transmission/supply field, and will act as a stepping stone for further business with Sri Lanka. ¡¡
