The consortium of LG TEK and LG CNS has received the ITS (Intelligent Traffic System) project of Koonsan City, the biggest one with estimated cost of 13 billion won among the ITS orders placed by a local autonomous entities.
With the technology evaluation score of 87.06, the LG TEK consortium got ahead of Hyundai IT (87 points) by small margin. It widened the margin in the subsequent evaluation of management status and suggest price by winning the total point of 93.925 to win the order. Hyundai IT scored 93 points. ITS project of Koonsan city includes diverse systems such as the following and expected to be completed within 720 days. * Installation of real time signal control system throughout inner-city roads to ease crossway traffic * Traffic Information Providing System that collects traffic conditions and process them to deliver to citizens via various medium such as PC and internet * Bus Information System that allows advance checking on information such as arrival time of buses and help reduce boredom of bus users Kyoungae Ahn Digital Times, September 5th |
