GS Neotek Makes Successful Bid for the Intelligence Transport Service (ITS) Project of the Korea Institute of Construction Technology (KICT) By SHIN Hae-Sun Shin, ETNEWS Reporter GS Neotek (CEO Sung-Jin Choi, http:// www.lgtek.co.kr) successfully bid for the 4 billion won ITS project of the KICT. This project aims to build a management system for national roads including route 6 and 45 and to relieve traffic congestion by integrating its operation to the existing transportation management system for the Seoul metropolitan area. The project will construct facilities covering a total of 44 kilometer sections including the 24 kilometers from Guri Interchange on route 6 to Yongdam-lee, 17 kilometers from Paldang Dam to Dapnae-lee and 3 kilometers from the Hanam Interchange on route 189. The company will provide field equipment such as the VDS (Vehicle Detection System), AVI (Automatic Vehicle Identification) system, and CCTV, and will construct and install facilities for local and regional transportation centers while providing equipment including hardware, software and customer premise communication equipment.
