GS Neotek (CEO Sung-Jin Choi), a CDN service provider, will establish an online game support center providing equipment for test trials of online games and CDN services at no cost.
The company announced on the 15th that it has formed a strategic alliance with Korea M&A (CEO Jae-Ryoon Kwon) to establish and operate the support center.
GS Neotek will undertake the service and infrastructure operation of the center based on its CDN service know-how accumulated for four years, and Korea M&A will be in charge of the comprehensive marketing including selecting the companies who will use the center and providing support.
GS Neotek will become the first private enterprise to offer equipment for beta tests of online games and CDN services free of charge through the start of the center. Game developers will enjoy various benefits such as a reduction in the time and cost of game development and attracting investment with the help of Korea M&A.
Any online game developer with games in its beta test stage can apply for moving into the center.
The selected developers will receive the required beta test equipment such as highly efficient switches, cables, firewalls, and servers and technological support from the center.
Vice President Gi-Jung Nam of GS Neotek commented that the opening of the center aims to promote the online game market. The game companies that want to move into the center can download the application form from the GS Neotek CDN homepage (http: //www.gscdn.com) and submit it.
Korea M&A specializes in conducting corporate M&A and attracting venture capital investment; it led Job Korea to be acquired by Monster in 2005 and carried out merger and acquisition deals of Auction, Wowbook, Wiseon and Ndoors.
