GS Neotek Signs Contract with Damoim to Provide UCC-Based Platform Service
By Min-Soo Kim ETNEWS Reporter, mimoo@etnews.co.kr GS Neotek (CEO Sung-Jin Choi), a CDN service provider, announced on the 5th that the company entered into a contract with Damoim (CEO Gyu-Woong Lee), a web service operator specializing in video content, to provide a UCC (user-created content) based platform service. Under this contract, GS Neotek will provide a UCC-based platform to Damoim for a year. Damoim is the first to introduce a flash-based UCC platform. To spark the boom for a user-created business based on Web 2.0, the firm plans to strengthen its strategy for providing its easy-to-use flash-based video service in a UCC platform. Vice President Gi-Jung Nam of GS Neotek noted, “The UCC market where we can grab creative content at lower cost is booming, and so the CDN service is gaining popularity among video service firms trying to create a profit model as they can save infrastructure costs with the service.” 07/06/2006 |
